In the 2011 Grand Final, hot favourites Manly found themselves up against a much improved Warriors outfit. The match started as most pundits would have expected with Manly shooting out to an 12-2 lead at the main break and seemingly on their way to another premiership.
To their credit the Warriors found some form and started to make a game of it in the 2nd half bridging the gap on the scoreboard, but with Glenn Stewart, Cherry-Evans and captain Lyon all in great form, Manly went on to win 24-10 and claim their 2nd premiership in 4 years.
Our Packages
Our 2011 NRL Grand Final packages included two nights accommodation at a range of Sydney hotels with breakfast daily and a match ticket to the big game.
There was also the option to purchase our unique pre and post match cruise transfers which included beverages, food and entertainment.
Twin share prices for this event started from $550. Extra nights, single prices and domestic flights were all available for this event.
Match Tickets
Match tickets included in this package were Category 1 and sourced officially through the NRL. Exact seating locations within ANZ Stadium were not be known until closer to the event taking place.
ANZ Stadium
Built to host numerous events for the 2000 Sydney Olympics, ANZ Stadium also hosted the 2003 Rugby World Cup Final, Bledisloe Cups, domestic cricket and AFL, as well as the NRL Grand Final annually.
The first sporting event played at the stadium was an NRL double header featuring Newcastle and Manly, then Parramatta and St George-Illawarra with over 104,000 fans flocking to the ground. With movable seating installed in 2003, the stadium's capacity decreased from 110,000 to 83,500.
Getting there
Package prices did not include flights. As the price of domestic flights fluctuate based on availability, we encourage you to book early. If you would like to include flights as part of your 2012 package, please ask our team at the time of booking.
Getting to ANZ Stadium from our hotels is very easy, especially if you book the option to utilise our cruise transfers as you will be taken right to ANZ Stadium. If you pass up this option, we recommend taking public transport.
