Itinerary: Regal Causeway Bay Package

Thursday 5th April 2018 - Arrive Hong Kong

Upon arriving into Hong Kong, take the airport express to Hong Kong station. Trains depart from the airport every 12 minutes, and you can be downtown in 24 minutes. On arrival to Hong Kong Station, there are free regular Express Shuttle buses offering door to door service. 

Once you have settled in, we recommend you spend your evening exploring this wonderful city. Whether you just venture out around the hotel or make the trip across the harbour, this city is alive and offers entertainment wherever yo decide to go. 

Tonight you may decide to take the iconic Star Ferry and enjoy stunning views around the harbour along with the Symphony of Lights show featuring harbour-front buildings.

Friday 6th April 2018 - Day 1 of the Rugby Sevens

This morning will offer time to recoup before the commencement of the Rugby action. Make your way to Hong Kong Stadium where at least a dozen games are traditionally played on Friday evening with each team playing one of their pool matches. 

It’s a great time to soak up the atmosphere as many different nations celebrate the opening night of this awesome event.

Saturday 7th April 2018 - Day 2 of the Rugby Sevens

Today is make or break day for all teams in the tournament. Play kicks off early, so make sure you arrive at the stadium with plenty of time to spare, as it is bound to be an exciting day. 

This evening we recommend you head down to the Causeway Bay area. Located on Hong Kong Island, the area claims to offer the true Hong Kong experience. There are numerous eateries and vibrant bars bound to be full of rugby supporters from both Hong Kong and around the globe.

Sunday 8th April 2018 - Day 3 of the Rugby Sevens

Today is finals day. It will now be down to the best teams to battle it out for the cup, bowl or plate. The overall pool leaders from the two previous days will compete against the two best performing second placed teams, the winning team awarded the Hong Kong Sevens Cup. The lower ranked teams are divided by overall places and will fight it out for either the bowl or plate. 

In the 2016 tournament defending champions Fiji defeated New Zealand 21-7 in a thrilling final. This victory saw Fiji take home their 4th title here in the past 5 years. In other results from a huge weekend of action, South Africa took out 3rd place defeating Australia 14-12, with England taking out the Plate, Argentina Bowl and Russia the Shield. 

The final day of the tournament will test the endurance and determination of all teams in the competition as they still have a chance to claim a place. Don’t expect the supporters to give up either, no doubt there will be plenty of fun to be had!
