Australia gets favorable Cricket World Cup draw
Defending champions Australia have received a favorable draw for the 2011 cricket World Cup to be held in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
Ricky Ponting's side has been grouped with New Zealand, who they beat in the Champions Trophy final on Monday, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Canada and Kenya.
The No.1 ranked Australians have avoided fellow powerhouses and the second and third ranked teams respectively, India and South Africa.
They have both been drawn together in Group B, along with England, the West Indies, Bangladesh, Ireland and the Netherlands. Australia's Group draw is as follows;
