Rodney Hogg Supremely quick, Rodney Hogg was an aggressive fast bowler who announced himself in Test Cricket against England in 1978-79. Leading a depleted Australian attack, Hogg took 41 wickets at an average of 12.85 and is very quick to quote these figures to anyone who asks.
Hogg terrorised local batsman on astro turf wickets in Melbourne’s RDCA well into his forties, and was a much loved tour host on our 2005 Ashes Tour.

Damien Fleming Famous for taking a hatrick on Test debut, and perhaps more famous for having Shane Warne drop a simple slips catch robbing him of his second, Fleming’s swing bowling complimented the pace of Glenn McGrath and Jason Gillespie beautifully in the late 1990s. Remembered for bowling the last over in Australia’s dramatic 1996 and 1999 Cricket World Cup Semi Finals, Fleming is now a coach at Cricket Australia’s Centre of Excellence and can be heard commentating on ABC Radio, SEN 1116 and Fox Sports.
Flem was able to draw on his wealth of experience to regularly entertain tour members on our 2005 Ashes Tour.

Geoff 'Henry' Lawson An Optometrist by trade, Lawson debuted for Australia in 1980-81 against New Zealand. Known as Henry, Lawson took 180 Test Wickets, and captained New South Wales to Sheffield Shield titles with the no nonsense motto of “get on, or get out”. This philosophy was instrumental in shaping the young Mark Taylor and Steve Waugh, who would later become Australian Captains. Lawson is the only Australian First Class captain to declare his teams first innings closed at 0-0.
Geoff has now been appointed as coach of the Pakistan Cricket team until 2009 with the option to renew leading into the 2011 World Cup. In what is regarded as the toughest coaching job in world cricket, Lawson sees it as a tremendous challenge, and AST wish him all the best.
Recognised as an entertaining guest speaker, Henry proved himself to be all that and more on our 2005 Ashes Tour.
