KERRY O'KEEFFE

A former Australian leg spinner and now key member of the ABC Radio Commentary team, Kerry O'Keeffe played for Australia in the golden era of the 70s, and was also involved in the World Series Cricket revolution. "Skull" is a respected analyst whose entertaining observations have seen him develop a cult following in the Australian Cricket public. His regular morning briefings have been singled out by many tour members as the "highlight of the tour".

“Having had the pleasure of being a tour host for Australian Sports Tours in bothe South Africa and twice in the West Indies, I am delighted to be venturing to England for the first time as a Tour Host, for what promises to be an absorbing Ashes Series in 2009.

This will be my fourth tour with Australian Sports Tours and my experiences so far have been nothing short of amazing. The perfect blend of cricket, sightseeing and hospitality, fantastic people and expert organisation by AST ensures an experience that we will all remember fondly for years to come. I’ve met some fantastic people along the way from all over this great country of ours, made some great friends and seen other lifelong friendships formed.

I'm eagerly anticipating this upcoming 2009 Ashes Series. The 2005 Ashes was widely acclaimed as the greatest series in the history of the game, and the 2009 Series looms as providing another memorable chapter in the sporting rivalry of these two great cricketing nations. I last toured England in 1977, and I can’t wait to get back to Lords with my AST tour group, for what will simply be an unforgettable experience for cricket fans."
