Button drew clear from the chasing pack and kept out of harms way as he led all the way from Renault's Robert Kubica and Ferrari's Felipe Massa. Australia's Mark Webber, seeking his first win on home soil, pushed his car to the limits, but his race ended in a collision with Lewis Hamilton with only a handful of laps remaining.
