This years event will be hosted at the Burswood Dome in Perth from the 3rd of January to the 9th January 2009

In 2007/08, Serena Williams and Mardy Fish clinched the United States' fifth Hopman Cup title after beating an injury plagued Serbia 2-1 in a tight mixed doubles decider.

The US team capped a week of victories in the $1 million event with a 7-6 (7-5) 6-2 win over the top seeded Jelena Jankovic and Novak Djokovic in the doubles.

It has just been announced that Russia will be sending both the Safins to represent Russia at this event. They will join Australia's own Lleyton Hewitt and Casey Dellacqua as confirmed names. Check out the latest media release - >>click here<<
