Australia and India are evenly poised at the top of the ICC World Test Championship points table with a potential re-match of the 2023 Final looming as a real possibility.

The upcoming Aus v India Test series in Australia over the 2024/25 summer will be key to securing a berth at Lord's.

The ICC World Test Championship

Following New Zealand's win in the inaugural edition of the ICC World Test Championship in 2023, the Aussies stormed to victory in 2025 to inflict consecutive Final defeats on India.

Aside from Australia and India, the table currently sees South Africa and New Zealand also within striking distance of securing a place in the Final.
