This tour starts and Finishes in Tokyo and along the way we will catch Australia's last three pool matches as well matches between Japan and Scotland, France and Tonga and a block buster clash between European rivals England and France.

Itinerary

Saturday 28 September, 2019 – Arrive in Tokyo & Welcome Drinks


Arrive in Tokyo and make your way to your hotel. After checking in the afternoon day is yours to relax or head out and get your bearings around Shinjuku ahead of the first match of your tour and Australia's second pool match of their Rugby World Cup 2019 campaign. This evening you will join us at our welcome function (dinner & drinks included) where you will get the chance to meet your tour leader and fellow travellers before Australia's big clash against Wales tomorrow.

Sunday 29 September, 2019 – Australia v Wales, Tokyo Stadium


Enjoy today at your leisure. This evening we will make our way to Tokyo Stadium for Australia's second pool match against Wales. Over the last ten years Australia has held the ascendancy in matches between the two sides, however these matches have always been tight affairs. Expect no less from tonight’s match as both teams look to assert their dominance early in the tournament in what is sure to be a memorable match! Return transfers from your hotel to the stadium are included in your tour.

Monday 30 September, 2019 – Full Day tour of Tokyo


This morning after breakfast we depart on a full day guided sightseeing tour of Tokyo with visits to where we will visit Hamarikyu, Asakusa, Tokyo Tower Meiji Shrine and Harajuku. Lunch is included today (drinks are at your own expense).

Tuesday 1 October, 2019 – Tokyo to Kyoto by Shinkansen and Half Day tour of Kyoto


After an early breakfast we travel by Shinkansen from to the former capital city of Japan, Kyoto. Upon arrival we will take a half day panoramic sightseeing tour around the city, visiting Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kinkaku-Ji Temple and Kiyomizu temple.

Wednesday 2 October, 2019 – Full Day Cultural Experience


Today is sure to be a highlight of the tour as we embrace the Japanese culture and learn of some of the country’s oldest traditions. We will partake in a traditional Tea ceremony, Samurai experience and Kimono experience. Lunch is included today (drinks are at your own expense).

Thursday 3 October, 2019 – Himeji Castle and Kobe Tour


Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour today to Himeji Castle and Kobe. Today’s tour includes a visit to Himeiji Castle, a sake tour, the chance to try some Kobe beef for lunch as well as a ride on a Mt Rokko Cable Car. Lunch is included today (drinks are at your own expense).

Friday 4 October, 2019 - Kyoto to Fukuoka by Shinkansen


This morning take the opportunity for one last look around Kyoto. Head to the district of Arashiyama where you can see its famous Bamboo grove as well as many temples and shrines or take a visit to Nijo Castle. After lunch we will make our way by Shinkansen to Fukuoka. We will be based in Fukuoka for the next three nights.

Saturday 5 October, 2019 – Australia v Americas 2, Oita Stadium


Today we head to Oita Stadium in Oita Prefecture for Australia’s third pool phase match. We will be transferring to the match early this morning as the match is an early afternoon kick-off. Australia played against Uruguay in at the 2015 Rugby World Cup and put in a dominant performance as they secured a 65-3 victory. Australia will be looking to emulate this performance again today to build momentum into their final pool match. Return transfers from your hotel to the stadium are included in your tour.

Sunday 6 October, 2019 – France v Tonga, Kumamoto Stadium


Today we get to sample another match from pool D as France takes on Tonga at Kumamoto Stadium. Tonga famously beat France in the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand 19-14 and they will be hoping for a similar result when the two teams clash today. With pool D being referred to as the pool of death this year, every match counts and there is no easy result. This match is sure to be a fantastic spectacle and one you won’t want to miss. Tuesday 8 October, 2019 – Full Day Tour Hiroshima


Today on our full day guided tour we will visit the Peace Memorial Park, Peace Memorial Museum and Atomic Bomb Dome in the morning then take a ferry to visit the island of Miyajima this afternoon. Lunch is included today (drinks are at your own expense).

Wednesday 9 October, 2019 – Hiroshima to Hakone by Shinkansen


This morning after breakfast we will travel by Shinkansen to Hakone. After a long day travelling take the opportunity to relax and enjoy your evening at leisure.

Thursday 10 October, 2019 – Full Day Tour Mt Fuji


This morning we embark on a full day tour of the stunning Hakone region taking in Japan's most recognizable landmark, the majestic Mount Fuji. Today’s full day tour will include lunch and we will visit to Mishima skywalk, Ropeway to Mt Owakudani and take a trip on a pirate boat on Lake Ashi. Lunch is included today (drinks are at your own expense).

Friday 11 October, 2019 – Australia v Georgia, Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa


This morning is at leisure ahead of Australia’s last pool match against Georgia. This match will be a momentous occasion as it will be the first time Australia and Georgia have played against each other. With the business end of the competition almost upon us, both teams will be leaving nothing on the park as they try to secure their spot in the quarter finals. Return transfers from your hotel to the stadium are included in your tour.

Saturday 12 October, 2019 – England v France, International Stadium Yokohama


Enjoy the opportunity to have a sleep in this morning. After breakfast we will depart Hakone by coach and make our way to International Stadium Yokohama for this evenings pool D match between England and France. This clash is sure to be exceptional one between these two European rugby power houses. In what is a tough pool C, both teams will be desperate for a win as they try to secure a birth in the quarter finals. After the match we will board our coach and make our way to our hotel in Tokyo. Return transfers from your hotel to the stadium are included in your tour.

Sunday 13 October, 2019 – Japan v Scotland, International Stadium Yokohama


Today is at leisure so why not take the opportunity to explore any parts of Tokyo that you may have missed, do some last minute shopping or sit back and watch some Rugby World Cup action from todays other matches before we transfer to International Stadium Yokohama for this evenings match. Tonight we will see the tournament hosts in action as Japan take on Scotland. This is the last match of the pool stages of Rugby World Cup 2019 and it is sure to be an entertaining match as both sides will be hopeful of progressing to next weekends quarter finals.
